My name is Ben and I have been smoking cigars since 2003. I really enjoy reviewing cigars and sharing my thoughts about them with all of you out there. The reviews on this site are from my personal experiences with the cigars, and as everyone who smokes cigars knows, taste is a very subjective thing. A cigar I might love might not do much for you, but that is what is so great about the world of cigars, tasting them for yourself! As you may have noticed, I do not use a point system when rating cigars. What I do here is give my impression of the cigar and whether I enjoyed it or not. The cigars reviewed are usually purchased by yours truly, and If I do receive them from any other source I fully disclose that right up front. The source of the cigar has no impact on my review.

I started Cigar In Hand a little over two years ago on blogspot and recently decided that I needed to upgrade, hence the new site! It wasn't necessarily a cigar blog at first, more of a personal blog, but I found out quickly that what I really wanted to write about was cigars!
